NIU Alerts - Text Alert System

Sign up to receive campus emergency notifications 
on your cell phone

In the event of an imminent and verifiable emergency, the NIU Police can send a text message alert to your cell phone. 

Please note: This system will only be used in the event of an imminent and verifiable danger or threat affecting the general campus population. Depending on the nature of the situation, the university may use a variety of notification methods.
