Journal Submissions Deadline

The Rectangle (journal of non-fiction, fiction, and poetry,
The Sigma Tau Delta Review (journal of critical essays on literature, essays on rhetoric and composition, and essays devoted to pedagogical issues).
If you have any questions, please contact Karlyn Crowley, Editor of Publications, at sigmataudeltajournals@snc.edu.
Look Forward to our New Website

Look forward to our newly designed website set to launch in July 2008. Based on our redesigned logo and our first official wordmark shown on the left, the new website will feature a fresh up-to-date design and easy-to-navigate links. You will find individual sections devoted to the interests of our various audiences: the student member, the chapter administrator, the alumni member and the school interested in starting a ΣΤΔ chapter.
The most significant website improvement will be the introduction of a society-wide online database. No more emailing or faxing chapter information changes. Each chapter will be able to directly make these changes on our website. Each chapter will also be able to enroll new members online and have access to their chapter's member database.
In months to come other features will be rolled out, such as online shopping and online convention registration. Look for email broadcasts later this summer for more information on our new website and online database.
Scholarship and Award Winners
Sigma Tau Delta awarded more money in scholarships, awards, and grants this year than ever before. Visit the 2008 winners page to see which members, sponsors, and chapters were recognized at the annual convention for outstanding achievement in a variety of areas.
Submit your Annual Chapter Report
Submit Annual Chapter Report and Award Applications Now
The Annual Chapter Report Form has been posted on the website. Although the deadline for this report is September 30, we strongly suggest that all chapters complete their reports before the end of this semester while relevant information is still fresh in mind. The information in these reports is crucial in the Society's ability to meet members' needs.
This recommendation also applies for Service Award applications and Outstanding Chapter Award applications; filling them out now while events are still fresh in your mind will save you the trouble of remembering the details next fall.
Sigma Tau Delta Newsletter
The Sigma Tau Delta Newsletter is now posted on our website! If you are a first year member, you should have received a printed copy of the Sigma Tau Delta Newsletter from your sponsor. In it you will find interesting articles by members and sponsors. Be sure to read the cover article about the 2009 Annual International Convention in Minneapolis, MN.
Meet Student Leaders
Each year, at the International Convention, students elect a Student Representative (SR) and Associate Student Representative (ASR) for each region. These hardworking members have kindly provided an introduction with their photo. In addition read about 2008-09 Student Advisors (SAs) Micah Hicks and Stephanie Schiefelbein.
Regional Newsletters
One of the SR's and ASR's primary responsibilities is to produce their region's biannual newsletter. If not posted already, regional newsletters will be arriving and posted on the ΣΤΔ website within the next two weeks. Links for all six spring regional newsletters can be found on the home page.
