Legal Experience: I’ve always had an interest in legal theory, its processes, and the practical application thereof. My real fascination didn’t begin until my oldest sister Christy went through law school and passed the Bar Examination in both Illinois and Florida. I saw first-hand the transformation that took place in everything from the way she thought & talked to simply the way she carried herself on a day-to-day basis. She’s a chief inspiration for me coming to law school which still inspires me to this day.
What are you currently doing? Currently, my main focus is learning as much as I can. Law school is an intellectual challenge unlike any other that I’ve faced in the past, and as the workload increases, I look forward to the mountain becoming a much harder climb!
What did you choose NIU Law? I like that I'm apart of a very young law school whose legacy has yet to be established. I consider myself to be a part of history in the making, and I want to help establish NIU Law as a premier law school that offers quality, exemplary legal education. I hope that one day, NIU Law will be honored to count me as an alumni.
Graduation Year: 2012
Undergraduate Institution: University of St. Francis
Undergraduate Major: BA in Mass Communications with a Concentration in Audio/Visual Broadcasting
Community Involvement: My community involvement is currently fairly limited as a result of my first year of law school taking up most of my time. However, after joining the Delta Theta Phi Legal Fraternity, I will look to enrich my weekly activities through community outreach programs available through the fraternity.
