NIU Law Alumni Council Honors Outstanding Alumni

DeKalb, IL – The Northern Illinois University College of Law recently held its first alumni golf outing at the River Heights Golf Course in DeKalb, IL. Alumni came from as far away as Australia to join former classmates, colleagues, and friends. Following a great day of golf, the evening featured the recognition of outstanding alumni who have remained committed to NIU Law School and to their community.

Regina Harris (’89), President of the NIU Law Alumni Council and Kane County state’s attorney, presented Erie D. Johnson (’02) of Hinshaw & Culbertson with the Young Alumnus Award; Lisa Nyuli (’89), immediate past president of the Kane County Bar Association and partner with Ariano Hardy Nyuli Johnson Richmond & Goettel, was presented with the Alumnus of the Year Award; and solo practitioner Vincent F. Cornelius (’89) received the Outstanding Service Award. Also honored that evening was LaSalle County Circuit Judge Cynthia M. Raccuglia (’81) who was presented with the Distinguished Service Award.
