Northern Illinois University College of Law Granted Accredited Provider Status for MCLE

DeKalb, Ill. -- Northern Illinois University College of Law is pleased to announce that it was granted Accredited Provider status by the Illinois Minimum Continuing Legal Education Board (MCLE). As a sponsor, NIU College of Law will offer a number of programs to assist Illinois attorneys fulfill their required MCLE hours and report attorneys’ hours to the Illinois MCLE Board. Attorneys must also maintain their own certificates of attendance and other proof of MCLE compliance.

The Supreme Court of Illinois established minimum continuing legal education ("MCLE") requirements for Illinois attorneys under Supreme Court Rules 790-798 (“MCLE Rules”) and created the MCLE Board to administer its MCLE program. Each attorney should become familiar with the MCLE Rules because failure to satisfy MCLE requirements can result in removal from the Master Roll of attorneys licensed to practice law in Illinois.
