Deborah A. Dessaso is a 1997 graduate of the University of the District of Columbia where she received a master's in Composition and Rhetoric. Currently, she coordinates the Writing Lab section of UDC's Academic Support Center. Deborah assists the undergraduates in UDC's Alpha Epsilon Rho Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, and as a member of Alumni Epsilon, she is a regular presenter at the annual convention. She looks forward to the opportunity to increase the visibility of alumni members both within Sigma Tau Delta and in the larger community.

Lauren Brandeberry - Associate Alumni Representative (AAR)

Lauren Brandeberry is the Associate Alumni Representative for the 2011-2012 term. An alumna of the University of Central Oklahoma with an M.A. in Composition and Rhetoric, she is a former Student Advisor for Sigma Tau Delta (2009-2011). She is currently seeking a job as a professional/technical writer, preferably for a school or non-profit. She also volunteers at the Oklahoma Food Co-operative. Lauren lives in a small house near campus with her husband and a truly neurotic dog. Her two step-sons visit every other weekend to ensure that the house has that authentic "lived in" feel. In the rare free time that she has, Lauren likes to read, write, cook, design websites, and work in the yard. Her literary interests tend toward contemporary non-fiction, though she also has a soft spot for science fiction and fantasy. She is currently working her way through Hunter Thompson's collected letters.
