Less than 2 Weeks to Convention
Sigma Tau Delta's 2010 International Convention, to be held March 17-20 in St. Louis, MO, will be our largest yet, with over 900 registrants! Attendees should preview the Program Schedule for concurrent sessions and events.
Important requests and updates from the Convention Chair:
- Moderators and Chairs: Once again, convention organizers are seeking more faculty moderators and student chairs for concurrent sessions! Due to the unprecedented number of concurrent sessions, the sessions may be limited either to a faculty moderator or a student chair because so far we received an insufficient number of volunteers. If you are willing to volunteer, or if you have volunteered and you would be willing to moderate or chair more than one session, please contact the Convention Chair, Carrie Fitzpatrick, at sigmataudeltaconvention@gmail.com.
- Reminders for Presenters: Please practice your presentation to ensure that you stay within the 8‑15 minute time frame. Due to the record number of submissions, the presentation time within concurrent sessions will be tight. Don’t forget to bring a copy of your paper(s) to read in St. Louis.
- Just Added—Resume Workshop: Sigma Tau Delta's Alumni Epsilon Chapter and Student Leadership Committee invite students to attend a workshop on creating a resume and curriculum vitae (CV). If you have a current resume and/or CV please bring them to the workshop. Otherwise, just come and work one-on-one with an alumnus or graduate student member to create them. Saturday, March 20 at 2:00 p.m., Mills 8.
