All chapters are required to submit an annual report by September 30 each year highlighting the previous year’s activities and plans for the coming year. The report may be completed online from our website and sent to the Central Office via email.

2010 Scholarship and Award Applications
Now Available
Annually, Sigma Tau Delta offers a variety of scholarships, awards, and internships valued at up to $4,000 each and totaling more than $65,000. Because these scholarship opportunities are offered exclusively to Sigma Tau Delta members, applicants have a very good chance of receiving an award.
Applications due in October are listed in the column to the left, along with links to guidelines and application forms.

New! Online Submissions for 2010 International Convention
A new online submissions process will be launched in late September for paper and panel proposals for the 2010 Sigma Tau Delta International Convention in St. Louis, MO. Additional details will be posted on the convention website as they become available. The submissions deadline is November 20, 2009.
Featured speakers for the 2010 Convention include authors Chris Abani, Azar Nafisi, Judith Ortiz Cofer, and Li-young Lee. A record 840 students, faculty, alumni, and guests attended the 2009 event in Minneapolis. Plan now to join us March 17-20 in St. Louis!
Improved Write Away! Login and Enrollment Procedures
Chapter sponsors can now access Write Away!, our online chapter management system, even if they do not have their username or password. Simply go to Login to Write Away! and follow the onscreen directions. Step-by-step guidelines can also be found on our website.
Member enrollment procedures have also been enhanced. Follow the step-by-step directions to enroll your new members.
Chapter Officers Can Now Receive eNews
Many of you told us in last year’s Chapter Annual Report that you would like Society emails to go to chapter officers in addition to Chapter Sponsors. We are working on adding this capability to Write Away! later this fall. In the meantime, please update your officer information in Write Away!, being especially careful to include accurate email addresses.

Chapter Sponsor Grant Program
Chapter Sponsors may be interested in applying for a chapter leadership project recently announced by the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS). Six $500 grants are available for pilot projects to encourage cross-campus collaboration and new initiatives among student organizations related to social responsibility. Proposals must be received by October 15, 2009.
