Midwestern Region Blog Contest Rules and Guidelines

Deadline Extended: October 31, 2016, 11:59 p.m. CDT

Following the success of last year's Midwestern Region blog contest, we proudly announce our second annual blog contest. Not only is this a fantastic opportunity for Sigma Tau Delta members to share their creative talent, but it is also a great way to generate traffic and engagement with Sigma Tau Delta's blog, WORDY by Nature.

Prompt

This prompt is based on the 2017 Convention theme "Recreation." At some point in our lives, we experience a renewal or rebirth. It can be a spontaneous occurrence, or a tedious process, but there comes a time when it is necessary to reinvent or recreate our interior or exterior selves. As English majors, our transformations are often prompted by or involve reading and writing. What sort of recreation have you experienced? How did it change you, and what role did reading and/or writing play in that change?

A first, second, and third place prize will be awarded the respective amounts of $150, $100, and $50.
