This is the fun part. What would you like to know more about? Where would you like to find that information? Another state? Another country? Dream up your proposal for a USOAR grant.
Share your idea with a professor of your choosing. If the professor is willing to validate your idea, the wheels are in motion.
Obtain a copy of the proposal here, complete it and submit 10 copies of it to your college office with your professor’s signature by February 3, 2012.
Students whose projects are selected are granted up to $2,500 and can begin their projects as early as April 1, 2012 or anytime during the 9 months afterward. You are responsible for covering expenses beyond $2,500.
Projects should come under the direct supervision and evaluation of members of the regular faculty. Students must submit documentation (final report, receipts, pictures) to the Office of Student Engagement & Experiential Learning within 6 weeks of completion of their project.
