Delta Award

The Board of Directors grants the Delta Award, the Society’s highest and most prestigious honor, to selected individuals who have served outstandingly at multiple levels of the Society, including considerable participation on the local, regional, and international levels. No more than one nominee may be selected each year—making this an especially esteemed honor.

Procedures

This is a Board-selected award; recipients are determined by the Executive Committee from a short list of persons whose contributions to the Society are both extensive and visible. The recipient must not have served on the International Board for three years prior to the convention at which they are announced.

Any Sigma Tau Delta member may nominate an appropriate person for the Delta Award by emailing details of nomination to sigmatdapply@niu.edu prior to August 1 of any year. Letters should be addressed to the Sigma Tau Delta Executive Director, and include supporting materials describing the contributions of the nominee.
