E. Nelson James Junior Scholarship ($3,000 each)
	Destiney Linker Salem College (E) Alpha Eta Kappa Chapter Destiney Linker is a junior at Salem College in Winston-Salem, NC. She is pursuing a B.A. in English and History with a minor in Art History. She hopes to graduate with honors in May 2011 and then begin graduate school in the fall of 2011.
	Kelsey Coker Salem College (S) Alpha Eta Kappa Chapter Kelsey Coker is a senior at Illinois State University where she is pursuing a B.A. in English and Spanish with a minor in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. She spent her junior year studying abroad in Granada, Spain, and has been involved with her local chapter of Sigma Tau Delta since 2009. She intends to pursue a doctoral degree in Linguistics followed by a career in Bible translation.

	Kalyla Goetz Concordia College (MW) Alpha Lambda Phi Chapter Kayla Goetz is a senior at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, double-majoring in English Literature and Religion. She is from Detroit Lakes, MN, and a few of her favorite things to do in her spare time include reading, running, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
Elva Bell McLin Senior Scholarship ($3,000 each)
	Alicia Andrzejewski Mars Hill College (S) Zeta Omega Chapter Alicia Andrzejewski recently completed her B.A. in English with a minor in Psychology at Mars Hill College in Mars Hill, NC. She is currently pursuing an M.A. in English at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. She grew up in England, Thailand, Holland, and Canada, and has found that despite this "rootlessness," she will always find a home in the universal elements of great literature.
	Quinn Lewis University of Alabama, Birmingham (S) Delta Tau Chapter Quinn Lewis is an English/Creative Writing major at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she will receive her B.A. with honors in December. She is working on an undergraduate thesis in poetry, and hopes to enter an M.F.A. program someday.

	Lydia Wanger Oklahoma Baptist University (SW) Chi Delta Chapter Lydia Wanger is currently working on her M.A. in American Studies at the University of Oklahoma, where she will also teach First-Year Composition as a graduate teaching assistant. She recently graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University, earning a B.A. in English with a minor in History.
Edwin L. Stockton, Jr., Graduate Scholarship ($3,000 each)
	Gwynne Middleton Texas State University (SW) Omega Epsilon Chapter Gwynne Middleton holds an M.A. in English/Literature and Environment from the University of Nevada, Reno, and is currently an M.F.A. candidate in Fiction at Texas State University, San Marcos. She serves as the Vice President for Texas State's Sigma Tau Delta, Omega Epsilon Chapter.
	Sarah Fredericks Auburn University, Montgomery (S) Omicron Psi Chapter Sarah Fredericks is currently completing her M.L.A. degree in English at Auburn University Montgomery, where she received her B.A. in English with a minor in Mathematics in 2009. Sarah is President of her school's Sigma Tau Delta chapter and is currently serving as the Associate Student Representative for Sigma Tau Delta's Southern Region. Originally from Houston, TX, Sarah has spent the last four years in Montgomery, AL, where she uses her English skills as a writing tutor, scholarly and creative journal editor, and published editorial assistant.

	Miriam Rowntree Auburn University, Montgomery (S) Omicron Psi Chapter Miriam Rowntree is currently in an M.A. program at the University of North Texas with a concentration in creative writing. She hopes to teach English at the college level and encourage scholarship and excellence in literature. She has served as President of her Sigma Tau Delta chapter and hopes to participate in the coming year.
Sigma Tau Delta Scholarship ($4,000 each)
	Elishia Heiden University of North Texas (SW) Tau Delta Chapter Elishia Heiden is a teaching fellow and doctoral student in Creative Writing at the University of North Texas (UNT), where she also acts as a writing program coordinator and the design/marking editor for American Literary Review, a journal of the Creative Writing Program at UNT. She received a B.A. and M.A. in English from Southeast Missouri State University.

	Loni-Anne Sanford Bridgewater State College (E0 Alpha Iota Mu Chapter Loni-Anne Sanford is a senior at Bridgewater State University in Bridgewater, MA, where she is pursuing a B.A. in English with a double minor in Secondary Education and U.S. Ethnic Studies. She served as president of Bridgewater State University's English Society and presented a literary paper at the Sigma Tau Delta 2010 St. Louis Convention.
Sigma Tau Delta Study Abroad Scholarship ($3,000 each) First Round
	Colleen Curran College of the Holy Cross (E) Nu Chi Chapter Colleen Curran is a senior, double English and Medieval Studies major at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, where she is also a member of the College Honors Program and the English Honors Program. Colleen spent her junior year abroad at Oxford University, where she focused on the history of the English language and paleography. She plans to pursue a graduate degree in Medieval Literature.
Second Round
	Paige Davis Tulane University (S) Alpha Beta Upsilon Chapter Paige Davis is a junior at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA, where she is pursuing a B.A. in English and French. She is currently studying abroad in Paris, France.
Regent Scholarships ($1,000 each) Eastern
	Sarah Bruno Albright College(E) Rho Beta Chapter Sarah Bruno is currently enrolled at Albright College in Reading, PA, where she is majoring in English and Women's Studies with a minor in African Studies. After earning her B.A. in English, she plans to pursue a Ph.D. with the goal of becoming a college professor. Sarah is President of her school's Sigma Tau Delta chapter, Rho Beta, as well as president of Albright's chapter of the American Association of University Women (AAUW).
Far Western
	Rachel Trillo California State University, Fullerton (FW) Alph Delta Zeta Chapter Rachel Trillo is a graduate student at California State University, Fullerton, where she is earning a master's degree in English Literature. Her research interests include modern literature, creative writing, and gender studies. After finishing her master's project in London next spring, she hopes to pursue a doctorate degree.
High Plains
	Samuel Columna University of Colorado, Boulder (HP) Alpha Iota Sigma Chapter Sam Columna is a senior at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he is earning a B.A. in English with a focus on creative writing, as well as a minor in Linguistics and a certificate in Technology Arts and Media. After graduating in May, he plans to take a year off to assess whether or not to go to graduate school.
Midwestern
	Melissa Miller University of Wisconsin, Eue Claire (MW) Thata Zeta Chapter Melissa Miller is pursuing a double major in English and Spanish Secondary Education at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, where she is looking forward to spending more time working in the local schools in the last two years of her program. Melissa is also honored to serve as Treasurer of Sigma Tau Delta's Theta Zeta Chapter.
Southern
	Melissa Chastang Hampton University (S) Alpha Beta Zeta Chapter Melissa Chastang is a senior English Arts major at Hampton University in Hampton, VA. After completing her undergraduate degree, she plans to attend law school where she will study international and human rights law.
Southwestern
	Evangeline Ciupek University of Mary Hardin-Baylor(SW) Delta Beta Chapter Evangeline Grace Ciupek, coffee connoisseur, Delta Beta Chapter Treasurer, and English major and Writing minor at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, TX, craves feedback and criticism of her poems and short stories. She hopes to earn an M.F.A. in Creative Writing after graduation on a campus with excellent faculty and a Starbucks across the street.
P. C. Somerville Teaching Awards ($2,000 each)
	Rachel Scupp The College of New Jersey (E) Alpha Epsilon Alpha Chapter Rachel Scupp graduated with a B.A. from The College of New Jersey where she majored in English Secondary Education and minored in both History and in French. During the 2010-2011 academic year Rachel will be teaching English as a second language and literature to French students at the Lycee Professionnel du Vimeu in Friville-Escarbotin, France, through a language assistantship program sponsored by the French Ministry of Education.
	Lindsay Thomas The College of New Jersey (E) Alpha Epsilon Alpha Chapter Lindsay Thomas graduated from The College of New Jersey in May 2010 with a B.S. in Elementary Education and English. She is grateful to have won this award and looks forward to beginning her teaching career in the fall.
